The Monteverdi Madrigal Week choir will be joined by the esteemed Brazilian choral conductor Guilherme Roberto, who is based in Zurich, Switzerland. The programme will feature compositions by renowned composers of the Renaissance period, including Claudio Monteverdi, Heinrich Schütz and Orlando Gibbons. The ensemble comprises experienced choir singers who are committed to exploring the rich repertoire of motets and madrigals from the 16th to the early 17th centuries.

Course fee 450€, students 350€ - accommodation not included - it must be organized by the participants themselves.

    Cancellation policy:

    until 31.5.2025 a full refund (-10% handling fee)

    until 7.7.2025 a 50% refund, after that no refund (if possible find a substitute participant)

    Guilherme Roberto (Brasil - Swiss)

    Madrigal Choir

    Guilherme Roberto, a graduate of the Zurich University of the Arts in choral conducting and vocal studies, has established himself as a prominent figure in the Swiss choral music scene. Over the past six years, he has gained recognition through his work as a guest conductor in diverse ensembles worldwide, covering a wide range of repertoires from a cappella choirs to symphonic works. Since 2023, Guilherme has held the position of principal conductor and artistic director of the Oratorienchor Winterthur in Zurich. Additionally, he has showcased his talent as a soloist and singer in various European ensembles including Ensemble Cantissimo, Cappella Amsterdam, and Baltasar Neumann Chor. Notably, Guilherme's recent studies have examined the works of Monteverdi, and since 2024, he has performed as a bass soloist with the Vocal Ensemble Intenerito, presenting concerts in London, Venice, Copenhagen, Berlin, and Zurich.
